Reception - Mathematical Space Adventure

Earlier in the week, we had an alien crash land in our garden.

Our children decided they wanted to help the alien fly home. Using our rockets, we threw them as far as we could and used mathematical vocabulary to compare the distances. We even estimated distances, measured using counting strides and wrote down our scores.

We then sent our brave Bee-Bot astronauts to explore different plants, measuring the distance between using cubes, bead strings, footsteps and rules.

We had so much fun in our mathematical space adventure!
